APCO Canada - Association of Public Safety Communications Officials Canada APCO Canada is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement of public safety communications. It serves the people who supply, install and operate the Emergency Communications Systems used around Canada from coast to coast. Leber Rubes is a consulting engineering firm that specializes in the provision of fire protection engineering services. NENA – National Emergency Number Association NENA is an association of public-safety personnel with interests in the technical aspects of the operation of 9-1-1 dispatch centres. Issues addressed by NENA both nationally and locally include all areas of communication centre technology. Computer Aided Dispatch systems are the centre of an emergency dispatch centre but they are only as effective as the information being fed into the system. GIS, telephony, radio, VoIP, cellular and WiFi data are but a few of the issues addressed by this association.
