“We’re excited to have FMC join the Carbon Project as a monitoring partner.” said Katrina Kroeze, Executive Director of Niagara Sustainability Initiative. “They’ve already demonstrated their commitment to reducing their impact on the environment through electronic waste recycling, equipment upgrades, FSC-Certified paper, and digitizing records and bills to name a few. Joining the Carbon Project will further their commitment and assist in the continuation of a green FMC.”

Through their participation in the Carbon Project, FMC hopes to become a more socially responsible organization in all aspects. . FMC has also decided to incorporate a ‘Green Team’ within their organization to identify other areas within their business that can improve the way they operate in a sustainable fashion. Partnering with NSI was the next logical step in FMC’s efforts to improve the community in which they work. FMC has previously implemented projects which improve their ability to operate in an environmentally sound manner, such as implementing an electronic waste recycling program, and FMC hopes their partnership with Niagara Sustainability Initiative will take this commitment to the next level.
