In this series, FMC will outline false alarm by-laws for alarm response in cities in areas that FMC provides service and monitoring. We will present information if you have a security alarm system with security alarm monitoring, or if you have a fire alarm or sprinkler system monitored. Today we will look at Alarm Response Policies in the Niagara Region with St. Catharines.
Security Alarm System Response Policy from Niagara Regional Police in St. Catharines:
Registration Required: Yes – No Fee
Fee Per False Alarm: $50.00 (Invoiced to FMC, subject to administrative fees)
Niagara Region does not suspend accounts for multiple false alarms.
Fire Alarm Response Policy for the St. Catharines Fire Department:
First Two False Alarms: $0.00
Third False Alarm (within a twelve month period of first alarm): $300.00
Fourth False Alarm (within a twelve month period of first alarm): $400.00
Fifth False Alarm (within a twelve month period of first alarm): $500.00
All subsequent False Alarms (within a twelve month period of first alarm): $1,640.00
