Know Your By-Law: London Police & Fire
In this series, FMC will outline false alarm by-laws for alarm response in cities in areas that FMC provides service and monitoring. We will present information if you have a security alarm system with security alarm monitoring, or if you have a fire alarm or sprinkler system monitored. Today, we will look at Alarm Response Policies in the City of London.
Security Alarm System Response Policy from London Police Service:
Registration Required: Yes – No Fee
Fee Per False Alarm: $0.00 (Invoiced to FMC, subject to administrative fees)
A Caution will be issued after the first false alarm. After the Second False Alarm, service to the facility will be suspended indefinitely.
Service can be reinstated by paying a $250.00 fee.
Fire Alarm Response Policy for London Fire Department:
Non-Notified False Alarm: (Systems which have not provided notice to the fire department of work being performed or of testing: $700.00
First 5 False Alarms in a Calendar Year: FREE
6th or More in a Calendar Year: $700.00/response
4th or more to same Building in one month: $700.00/response
